“My Heart will Dion” is one of my new favorite basketball songs

Oklahoma City Thunder guard Dion Waiters did what Dion Waiters does best during Sunday afternoon’s game against his former team, the Cleveland Cavaliers, by shooting a robust 1 for 8 from the field in the Thunder’s blowout loss. He also got called for a travel on an uncontested fastbreak lay-up which is quite an impressive feat in the NBA.

One Youtube user named Bootum Bootum really came through for the Internet by mashing up Waiters’ heroic performance with Celine Dion’s  “My Heart Will Go On” from the move Titanic to create the instant classic “My Heart Will Dion.” It’s easily one of my new favorite basketball songs and will continue to be so until somebody mashes up something like “I Want It Galloway” to the Backstreet Boy’s “I Want It That Way” in honor of Knicks great Langston Galloway.

It still has a ways to go to catch Andrea Bargnani’s “I Believe I Can Fly” kamikaze dunk fail for best basketball video ever.
