You wouldn’t hire a clown to fix a leak in the john, that’s why The Turkatron was sent back in time from the future…in Canada, to be your hockey specialist. Each week highlighting all you need to know in the world of puck.
Smashed-ville: The Nashville Predators have now lost three straight after a loss in the Big Apple, scoring a combined zero-goals in that span. Am I worried? No, but how bout scoring a goal eh? This team is too talented to slump much longer. Meanwhile, Rangers have won nine in a row at home.
Don’t Tell Me Where I Gotta Be: Shayne Gostisbehere with the OT winner on the PP! With two goals and three points in five games, Gostisbehere definitely gosti-be…on your team, he’s shooting the puck and he’s getting time on the man-advantage, he’s worth a flier.
Singin’ the Blues: Jake Allen is quietly making his case for the Vezina trophy. While I would say King Henrik is the front-runner, Allen has been impressive, racking up ten wins, including a W over the improved Sabres last night, oh and he’s stealing the crease from Brian Elliott, so if you have Elliott in your league, start crying now.
Get A Holt Of Yourself!: Another goalie that’s impressed me is Braden Holtby. Tied for the first in the league with 12 wins, Holtby picked up his first shutout of the season last night against the Oilers. He even managed to put an entry in for save of the year when he flashed the leather on Eric Gryba.

Now if you don’t like that folks, you don’t like NHL hockey.
Like Father Like Son: What a great moment to see Ray Ferraro interview his son Landon during the Bruins v. Leafs game last night. The B’s managed to hold on for a win in the shootout, further aggravating fans of the Blue and White.
Kings Justice: L.A looks like they are settling into a playoff spot, where I expect them to be all season. Love the sweet feed from Kopitar over to Gabby Patty who makes no mistake as he slips one by Louie to extend the Kings lead. Kings win.
Cool the Jets: 3-7-1 over the last eleven games after a loss to the Avs, and losing your starting goaltender? Not a recipe for playoff contention. Once in a spot and now on the outside looking in, the Winnipeg Jets are going to struggle mightily with Pavelec expected to miss significant time, not sure if Hutch can be a full-time starter. Duchene, so hot right now. Ten goals and sixteen points in his last ten games…somebody stop me!
